Salina Man Arrested on Multiple Child Sex Crime Charges

Salina Police have arrested a 31-year-old man in connection with an ongoing investigation into the sexual abuse of three minors at a central Salina residence.

According to authorities, 31-year-old Wade Hardesty was taken into custody following reports that three females under the age of 14 had been victimized by a household member over the past three years. The case came to light after the oldest victim discovered the abuse involving her younger siblings and reported it to their mother.

Hardesty has been preliminarily charged with rape of a person under 18, two counts of aggravated criminal sodomy, three counts of aggravated indecent liberties with a child, and aggravated indecent solicitation of a child.

Due to the victims’ ages, detectives are using specialized investigative procedures. Hardesty is being held without bond, and the investigation remains ongoing.
