Salina Police Arrest Man With Felony and Misdemeanor Warrants on Seneca Street

Salina Police arrested a 47-year-old man Thursday morning after discovering him hiding in a shed in the 800 block of Seneca Street.

Officers responded to the area around 10:30 a.m. on November 13 after receiving information that Jonathan Shinn had two active warrants: a misdemeanor warrant for probation violation and a felony warrant for aggravated burglary.

When police found Shinn in a backyard shed, he initially refused to exit. Officers called for backup from canine officer Witt. The dog's arrival prompted an immediate change—Shinn surrendered and was taken into custody without further incident.

Both warrants have been executed.
