Utilities Construction to Close Portions of South 5th Street Starting December 2

The Utilities Department will begin construction work in the 400 block of South 5th Street starting Tuesday, December 2, 2025, after 5:00 PM.

South 5th Street will be closed south of South Street.

South 5th Street will also be closed to through traffic north of Center Street. Access to health facilities and the hospital parking garage will remain available along South 5th Street north of Center Street.

Additional "no parking" signs will be placed along the east side of South 5th Street north of the parking garage.

Work is expected to be completed by the end of Wednesday, December 3, 2025, weather permitting.

Appropriate barriers will be in place to ensure worker safety. Motorists may encounter minor delays and are encouraged to find alternate routes.
