Arrests Made in Linked Burglaries at Bishop Street Tavern and Acoustic Sounds
A recent investigation by the Salina Police Department resulted in two arrests connected to separate burglary cases at Bishop Street Tavern and Acoustic Sounds. During a briefing, officials confirmed the incidents were related and provided details on the suspects and recovered property.
Authorities arrested 25-year-old Joseph Maston, who faces two counts of burglary, two counts of theft, and a charge of contributing to a child’s misconduct. A second suspect, a 15-year-old male, was also taken into custody; his name was withheld due to his age.
Detectives executed search warrants at a storage unit in the 400 block of North Ninth Street and at the Budget King Hotel, 809 North Broadway, where the suspects were located. During these searches, officers recovered stolen items from both burglaries, including a Zebra-brand scanner and various tools taken from Acoustic Sounds. Alcohol reported stolen from Bishop Street Tavern was also recovered.
Investigators continue reviewing recovered items to confirm their origins and determine the full list of property taken in the burglaries. The case remains under investigation.
