Salina Police Arrest Man on Warrants and Drug Charges Near Bishop Street
Salina Police responded to an incident at approximately 4:30 p.m. on December 12 involving two individuals found walking on Union Pacific Railroad property near Bishop Street. Officers determined the individuals were trespassing on railroad property and made contact to identify both parties.
One of the individuals was identified as 23-year-old Colten Miller of Salina. Officers learned Miller had two active warrants in Saline County, including one for a probation violation and another for 11 counts of violation of protection orders. He was taken into custody on the warrants.
During a search incident to arrest, officers located a baggie containing approximately two grams of suspected methamphetamine on Miller. He was subsequently charged with possession of methamphetamine, violation of the drug tax stamp law, possession of drug paraphernalia, and trespassing on railroad property, in addition to being held on the outstanding warrants.
The second individual involved was cited for trespassing and released at the scene.
