Broadway Median Improvements to Begin January 12 at State Street Intersection

Prairie Landworks, Inc. of McPherson will begin construction on median improvements at the intersection of Broadway and State on Monday, January 12, as part of the larger Broadway Median Project.

The existing medians will be replaced with stamped and colored concrete to improve the corridor's appearance. Work at Broadway and State represents only a small portion of the overall project and is expected to be completed within approximately one week.

During construction, lane closures will be in place adjacent to the median being replaced. Motorists should expect minor delays, and left turns from Broadway onto State Street will not be permitted during this phase of construction.

The $523,000 Broadway Median Replacement project is part of the City of Salina's 2025 $5.7 million street maintenance capital improvement program.
