Burglary Reported at Chuck’s Bar

On the morning of January 7, employees at Chuck’s Bar, located at 600 North Santa Fe, arrived at approximately 7:45 a.m. and discovered that a burglary had occurred.

Officers determined that a door to the business had been forced open, causing damage to the door latch. The suspect entered the business and targeted gaming machines, cutting them open and removing money from inside. No alcohol or other property was reported stolen.

The incident is believed to have occurred during the overnight hours prior to the business opening. The total amount of money stolen and the extent of damage to the gaming machines are still being assessed.

Video footage from the business is being reviewed as part of the investigation, though its quality and evidentiary value have not yet been determined.
