Openings Available at Salina Family YMCA’s Preschool & Early Learning Centers

The Salina Family YMCA is welcoming new families to its Preschool & Early Learning Centers, with openings currently available at all three Salina locations.

Designed for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years, the YMCA’s early education programs go beyond basic childcare, offering a nurturing, development-focused environment rooted in the Y’s core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.

Licensed childcare professionals lead age-appropriate activities that support each child’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development. Daily programming includes arts and crafts, language development, social-emotional learning, and school readiness preparation. The YMCA’s comprehensive preschool curriculum is designed to help children transition confidently into kindergarten with a strong foundation for future learning.

“With openings at all of our early learning locations, now is a great time for families to explore what the Y has to offer,” said Marti Higdon, Senior Director of Youth Development. “Our early learning classrooms are more than childcare — they’re a safe, supportive place where children can build foundational skills, make friends, and thrive in a community that cares about their growth.”

The Salina Family YMCA’s Early Learning Centers are Praesidium Accredited, reflecting a continued commitment to child safety and well-being. This accreditation recognizes the YMCA’s adherence to the highest standards in abuse prevention, staff training, screening, and program monitoring, providing families with added peace of mind.

Enrollment is open now. Families interested in learning more or reserving a spot are encouraged to visit
