Kenneth James Klaus
August 3, 1937 ~ February 2, 2026 (age 88)
Kenneth James Klaus, 88, of Salina, passed away at his home on February 2, 2026.
Ken was born on August 3, 1937, in Antonino, Kansas, to Martin and Felicitas (Leiker) Klaus. He grew up alongside seven siblings. On January 9, 1960, Ken married Bernice (Dinkel). Together, they built a life and raised three children.
Ken took great pride in caring for his lawn and garden and enjoyed restoring antique tractors. Above all, he cherished time spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Ken is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Bernice, of Salina; sons, Leon (Mary) of Salina and Randy of Weston, Florida; daughter, Karen (Jerome) of Eugene, Oregon; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; his sister Ann; brother Harold; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Thursday, February 5, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., with a rosary at 6:00 p.m., at Ryan Mortuary. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Friday, February 6, 2026, at St. Mary Queen of the Universe Catholic Church, Salina.

Jerry Tryban
May 1951 ~ February 2, 2026 (age 74)
Jerry Tryban of Salina, Kansas, passed away on February 2, at the age of 74. He was born in May 1951 to Ed and Frances Tryban and was raised in Roanoke, Virginia. After high school, Jerry spent four years in full-time volunteer work for Jehovah's Witnesses, printing Bibles and study aids, and continued to spend the majority of his life teaching the Bible to others.
Jerry met a local Salina girl, Trudy Martin, at a friend's wedding, and they married in 1975. They raised three children together in Smolan, Kansas.
Jerry enjoyed playing tennis and golf and was well known by many locals as "Jerry the Janitor," as well as for his unique, boisterous laugh.
He is survived by his wife, Trudy; sons, Joshua and his wife, Jessika, of Crescent City, California, and Nathan and his wife, Xiomara, of Loveland, Colorado, along with grandson, Jonah; daughter Molly Dahl and granddaughter, Aubree; sister, Suzy Cannon of Virginia; and numerous nieces and nephews.
No services are planned. Memorials may be sent to the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 2085 Hageman Ave., Salina, Kansas 67401.

Robert Frederick Frobenius II
June 5, 1945 ~ February 4, 2026

Robert Frederick Frobenius II ("Bob") was born June 5, 1945, in Denver, Colorado and passed away on February 4, 2026, in Salina, Kansas.
Bob is survived by his beloved wife, Diana Frobenius; his sons, Robert Frobenius III (Stacie) and Anton Frobenius (April); and his grandchildren, Ethan Frobenius and Elliot Frobenius.
Bob devoted much of his life to service and the care of others. He served as a deputy with the Saline County Sheriff's Office, later as an officer with the Derby Police Department, and also worked in security with Boeing. In time, Bob became a funeral director and the owner of Roselawn Mortuary and Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
Bob had a spark—opinionated, candid, and full of emotion. He lived with his heart on his sleeve, loved fiercely, and remained deeply family oriented. He loved working with people, time in nature, and learning for learning's sake. He had a deep interest in genealogy and traveled extensively.
Visitation will be held Friday, February 13 at Roselawn Heights Memorial Chapel from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Service will be Saturday, February 14 at 11:00 a.m. at the chapel.

Todd Pooler
February 15, 1961 ~ February 3, 2026 (age 64)
Todd Pooler, 64, of Salina, Kansas, passed away on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.
Todd was born in Augusta, Maine, on February 15, 1961, to Anita (Gagne) and Arthur Pooler.
After graduating from high school, Todd entered the United States Army, where he proudly served for seven years in the United States, Germany, and overseas. During his service, Todd worked in the military police and took great pride in protecting and supporting those around him.
Following his military career, Todd held numerous jobs, including construction and cooking—his lifelong passion. Each year, he dedicated a month of his time to Habitat for Humanity or Mission work, using his skills to help and repair homes for others. Todd was known for being a hard worker with a generous heart, always ready to lend a hand.
Todd is survived by his sisters, Vanessa Mayhew, Michelle Hughes, and Lisa Giguere, all of Winslow, Maine; and by his brother, Brad Pooler and his wife, Angel, of Salina, Kansas. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, as well as countless beloved friends in the Salina area.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Cremation has been chosen, and no services will take place in accordance with Todd's wishes.
The family requests that donations be made to the Salina Rescue Mission, 1716 Summers Rd., Salina, Kansas.
