Patricia Mae (Singleton) Tomlins

June 24, 1931 – February 7, 2026

Patricia Mae Tomlins, 94, passed away on February 7, 2026, in Salina. Born June 24, 1931 in Dermott, Arkansas, she moved to Wellington, Kansas as a teen and graduated from Wellington High School in 1949.

She married James “Bud” Tomlins in 1949 and together they raised sons Byron and Scott; in 1977 she married William (Bill) Billau. Once her children were older she worked for Jack Parr Associates, Evans Grain Company, and later Consumer Credit Counseling Services until retiring in 1997.

Pat was deeply rooted at Sunrise Presbyterian Church where she served as an elder, Moderator of Presbyterian Women, Circle Leader, Clipper Mariners Skipper, and longtime Evangelism Committee volunteer. She coordinated the Red Cross Blood Mobile canteen, served on the First Presbyterian Church Family Hope Center Board, and received the 1997 Super Senior Award for her church service.

Since 2018 she called Salina Presbyterian Manor home, championing food bank donations, the employee Christmas Fund, and the residents council. She is survived by sons Dr. Byron (Paula) Tomlins and Scott Tomlins, six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, sister Billie Curry, and extended family.

Services: Celebration of life 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 12 at Sunrise Presbyterian Church with reception to follow; memorials to Sunrise Presbyterian Church, CASTLE program, or Salina Presbyterian Manor Good Samaritan Fund.
